Nominations are now being accepted for the 2008 Downtown
Excellence Awards. Please read the information below for
all the details. The 2007 Winners include: the First Presbyterian Church
Worship Center, Trade Street Investors, the Richard Dean
Biomedical Research Building at PTRP, West End Village (Phase
I), and the ISP Sports Homecoming Celebration.
On the right side bar is a downloadable nomination form (PDF
format) for the Downtown Excellence Awards that are presented
each year at the DWSP annual meeting. It is a way for the
Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership to recognize individuals
and businesses that have contributed significantly to the
overall improvement and enhancement of downtown. The
awards have meant a great deal to those fortunate enough to
receive them and have given us the pleasure of spotlighting some
very deserving people.
Also available on the right side bar is a list of past award
winners. They go back a few years, and some may deserve
recognition again for a more recent accomplishment.
We urge you to support the Downtown Excellence Awards by
submitting a nomination. In order for the board of
directors to make its selections at the next regularly scheduled
meeting, we must receive the nominations by
NOVEMBER 7. If you have questions about
eligibility or anything regarding the process, please let us
know. We do ask, however, that you make the information
you send as thorough and complete as possible.
With your help, we will look forward to honoring another fine
group of award-winners for 2008.
