This branch located in downtown Winston-Salem, NC is a vital business resource for our community and it supports over 20,000 employees and 38,364 residents within a two mile radius.

Downtown is the home of a burgeoning residential and commercial business base with over 70 restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops.  It is also home to the Piedmont Triad Research Park and many of our city's oldest and largest businesses.  Downtown is also the central hub for our City and County government operations, including the Hall of Justice, Sheriff's Office, City Hall, Forsyth County Administration Building, and the Hiram H. Ward Federal Building.

We urge the U.S. Postal Service to reconsider this location for possible closure and to maintain this location as a branch. The federal government should support services within downtown areas rather than removing services.

Please consider signing the petition (link below) to show your support to keep our downtown Post Office open!  Also, please consider contacting your elected officials and voice your concern to them (contact info below).
