WAKE
FOREST UNIVERSITY HEALTH SCIENCES
has leased 24,887 square feet at the Wachovia
Center. It will be occupied by the
administrative
group of WFUHS’s Division of Public Health
Sciences and by part of that division’s
Department of Biostatistical Sciences.
A
total of 74 WFUHS employees will make the move
from the MRI Building at the Medical Center to
the 22nd and 23rd floors
of Wachovia
Center
in early May.
WILDFIRE,
LLC
has moved to 709 North Main Street, a 10,000 s.f.
building that is listed on the National Register
of Historic Places and
dates
to the 1920s. In under two years, the marketing
communications company has tripled its size and
now employs 28 marketing
professionals
who service clients such as Hanesbrands Inc.,

DOWNTOWN GROCERY STORE
is about to become a reality. A 4,000 s.f.
space at 418 N. Liberty Street between Fourth
and Fifth
has
been leased by Keith King and will be called
Kingz Downtown Market. The store will stock
produce, selected meats, wine and
cheese
and grocery items. Operating hours will be
Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.;
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
with
delivery available within a 2-mile radius. The
anticipated opening date is mid-summer.
WINSTON'S
EATERY
in the historic Railroad Building, 300 S.
Liberty Street, is now open for business. It is
located in the space formerly
known
as Opie’s Southbound Grille. Restaurant
operating hours will be Monday through Friday
from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10
a.m.

THE
OWNERS OF SWEET POTATOES
are opening a second restaurant in the
Brookstown Inn on Brookstown Avenue. It will be
more
upscale
than the popular bistro on Trade Street, but the
food will still be southern favorites with a
flair. Construction is slated to begin in a
few
weeks with a mid-summer target opening date.

Marketing has been in business for over 20

COUSIN VINNY’S
is the new name for the restaurant formerly
known as Dudley’s on the Park in the Sawtooth
Building The focus is
now
on Italian food which made the owners’ Burke
Street Pizza so popular. The same New
York-style pizza will be served along with

pasta dishes and beef, chicken and veal
entrees. Lunch and dinner hours are Monday
through Saturday from 11 a.m. to
midnight.

has reopened for the season on Tuesdays and

the grand reopening will occur on May 1.

LOFTY IDEAS TOUR,
a fundraiser for Piedmont Craftsmen, will be

and a residential unit at West End
Village.
The Day Dream Tour is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
